Double coated tape dispensers are available in a variety of configurations ranging from manual to fully automatic. These tapes can be applied by hand or with a dispenser. Manufacturers use urethane foam tape for products and applications including insulation, gaskets, sealing, sound and vibration dampening, and much more. When compressed, this type of foam can seal out air, dust, and light. The adhesive is protected by a peel-away liner that can be removed at the time of application or left in place until the joining surfaces are ready to be attached. Urethane foam tape is a soft conformable, low-density, open-cell foam material laminated with pressure-sensitive adhesive. Open- and closed-cell foam tapes with a variety of adhesives give these tapes a wide range of performance characteristics - from multi purpose mounting and gap. For many applications, any one of the products in this grouping will perform satisfactorily when exposed to different chemicals or temperatures. 3M Double Coated Urethane Foam Tape 4032 is an off-white, 0.031 in. ![]() 3M™ Adhesive 100 is well known in the industry for environmental and chemical resistance.
